  1. Excellent :) Used chicken breasts and browned the chicken in a pan first, then I added 1 onion to the mix. It was not too sweet, but i will omit a tablespoon or too honey next time. Thanks!

  2. We enjoyed this recipe but had to spice it up with some seasonings. I ended up cooking it on the stovetop for 1/2 hour and it was a pretty easy meal with some steamed rice.

  3. Really lovely. I added a good dollop of sweet chilli sauce which really added to the flavour. A quick easy recipe for busy folk. Also great for those on a budget - serve with rice and vegies in season.

  4. this was okay....i didn't love it but it wasn't gross...the meat wasn't very tender and I cooked it for the time i was supposed to. I also dont like the fact that it doesn't warm up very well if you want to eat it the next day..The sauce has a jello-like texture if you dont eat it right away. i dont think i will make it again.

  5. This is soooo easy! A very very delicious sauce, thank you! Our oven is not working so I put the drumsticks and sauce over the stove. Had 8 drumsticks and just just enough sauce to cover them all. Cooked for the same amount of time, 35 minutes. We had a few drumsticks left and I packed them for my husband's lunch tomorrow. He asked for more gravy on his rice! Wonderful!

Tweaks

  1. I was actually able to make this without buying anything special- a huge plus. Flavor was great, easy to prepare, and the sauce went really well over rice. The only substitutiona I made was using apple cider vinegar instead of rice or white vinegar.
