- 396.89 g can tomatoes
- 946.36 ml chicken stock
- 14.78 ml ginger, minced
- 4.92 ml light soy sauce
- 9.85 ml chili bean sauce
- 9.85 ml superfine sugar
directions
- Put the stock in a saucepan and bring to simmering point.
- Add the ginger, soy sauce, chili bean sauce, sugar and the tomatoes. Simmer for 2 minutes and serve immediately.
- Add a dash of lemon juice for a South-East Asian touch or serve at room temperature on particularly hot, summer days.

Excellent! I’ve had a clear tomato and ginger soup in an Indian restaurant a few times and loved it. Had that again yesterday and was determined to figure out how to make it at home and found your recipe. It was spot on and what I was craving. My wife and mother loved it as well.
