  1. Excellent recipe! Definitely restaurant quality. I substitued the carrots and snowpeas with a 16oz bag of oriental mix frozen vegetables. I think the cashews are a nice touch, but not necessary as it is the sauce that makes this dish. The ginger gives this dish a wonderful flavor.

  2. This is so good. I can totally recommend it. Very tasty and such tender chicken. A delight!

  3. This was really tasty, I used half a green bell pepper and half a red one. The cayenne gives just the right 'bite'. We all loved this and will make it again. Thanks for posting.

  4. Definately restaurant quality. Didn't have snow peas and I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs. It was excellent. Will definately make this again!

Tweaks

  1. 3 1/2 stars! We almost had all these ingrediants in the cupboard instead of capsicum i used our leftover vegies which were snow peas broccilli and celery and missed the cashews as we had none but was very tasty! TY Dawn

  2. I made this last night and it was a huge hit with the family. We didn't find it to catsuppy and liked all the flavors. I added a little oyster sauce and broccoli instead of snow peas and it was totally awesome! DH says this is absolutely on the monthly menu now. TY TY TY

  3. We really enjoyed this recipe. It will be added to our 'favourite recipes' cookbook. I substituted red pepper for the green pepper and broccoli for the snow peas. I will be adding a photo!

  4. A truely outstanding dish!! I did make a few changes with what I had on hand- I substituted canola oil for the sesame oil, reduced the garlic to 1/4 tbsp and ginger to 1/2 tbsp and used 2 breast pieces instead of three. Even with all these changes this dish was truely outstanding. My dad wouldn't believe that it was homemade! Thank you so much Dawn for a superb recipe!!

  5. I was a little leary at first, catsup and 2 TBSP of Worcestershire sauce.....but....it turned out quite good. I used a yellow pepper - we can't eat green and I did cut the oil back to 1 Tbsp instead of 1/4 cup -it seemed like alot to me. I also cut the cashews to 1 cup and used 1 tsp of red pepper flakes instead of cayenne pepper. I used only 2 whole breasts as well. It was alot of food - made 6 servings. We did enjoy this very much. Thanks for posting.

I?m ?originally from Texas, but now live in Florida. Still gotta have that spice though....love chipotle peppers, habaneros, and jalapenos. This is a picture of myself & my 2 daughters taken in Dec'06. I am working on my graduate degree, & still work as a nurse prn. When I'm not cooking and eating what I cook... I head for the gym to work out. As far as cookbooks, I love the church/ community cookbooks, where someone has dug out old handwritten recipes by granny and shared them with others-those are the best kind. If I had a month off, I'd for sure go hiking, would love to visit Australia and New Zealand.?
